About Us
We are Flintshire's largest mixed voice choir of around 60 members. We are a bilingual Welsh and English choir, but also sing in other languages as required by the music.
Under our musical director Trystan Lewis and accompanist Tim Stuart, we present a variety of classical choral concerts every year, both sacred and secular.
We welcome you to join us to sign as a choir member, or to attend one of our concerts.
Based in the historic market town of Mold in Flintshire, North Wales, the choir gives concerts in Mold Parish Church,
Capel Bethesda and other venues around the area, including St. Asaph Cathedral.
In the last few years we have given performances of Elgar’s ‘Dream of Gerontius’, Mendelssohn's 'Elijah’,Mozart’s ‘Requiem’ and ‘Mass in C minor’ in Mold, as well as Stainer’s ‘The Crucifixion’ and Maunder’s ‘Olivet to Calvary’ in Buckley.
We have also joined with Côr Cymysg Dyffryn Conwy in performances of Haydn’s ‘The Seasons’,
Handel’s ‘Messiah’ and Mendelssohn’s ‘Eliajh’ (in Welsh). Most recently we joined with Dyffryn Conwy and St Asaph Choral Society, to perform Vaughan-Williams', ' A Sea Symphony' in a sold out concert at St Asaph Cathedral.
We are always on the lookout for new members. Experience of choral singing is useful but not essential. No auditions necessary.
